I Like RUM... Mostly because it likes me. Just like a fine lady it's fun at night and gentle to me in the morning Wink

One drink that I ran across is the Pain Killer

4 parts pineapple juice
1 part creme of coconut
1 part orange juice

and either 2,3,or 4 parts Pusser's Navy Rum
Mix,top off with nutmeg and wow!

A note on this: Pusser's is 95.5 proof and you can't find it in Iowa (go figure).

A good substitute is Bacardi Select which is also a dark rum. You can easily find this at HyVee. With the "smoke" flavor of this rum, you can skip the nutmeg.

Here's a trick for the boat: Mix this stuff at home. Get a plastic pour container that will hold the following: Add 1 can creme of coconut. Add 1 can of pineapple juice. Fill the creme of coconut can with orange juice and add this.Keep this cold... this is your "mixer".

Take along your rum with 1 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/2 cup measuring cups

On the boat, put a plastic cup into a cuzzi. Add a little ice and 1 cup cold "mixer"
Add either 1/3, 1/2 or 2/3 cup rum (I like the 1/2)
Remember to add a little more rum if you are using the Bacardi since it is only 80 proof

You could skip the rum and just drink the mixer but I would simply call this a "Pain"

Enjoy

You can get everything on-line!
Pusser"s Rum

I'm also in KC a lot and could pick it up for you anytime.

I like to start my exercising off slow and taper from there.

I have ordered it online before through a wine supplier, but shipping makes it more expensive. Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind though.

Actually, the Bacardi Select isn't a bad substitute...some even think it's better.

The Pusser's web site is interesting and a person should try the Pusser's at least once just for nostalgia.

As long as we have each other. We'll never run out of problems.
