Planning a trip next month. Anyone know of a good cove, bar, nude beach, rocks or sand bars?
Any low bridges on the way down?

Southfork Marina and Buck Creek are the only marinas on the lake. Both rent slips. Personally I'd stay at South fork (if your wanting a slip) Buck Creek is the bigger of the 2, but south fork is in a better cove (IMO)

The party cove is in the HONEY CREEK COVE. Just pass the no wake bouys.

Bridview campgrounds has a bar, but I don't think you can get to it from the water, unless you want to beach, and walk up. I wouldn't though.

Lots of little coves all over to toss the anchor.

Lifes short, so drink fast!

just got back from a 5 day trip to lake rathbun on sunday. stayed at the lakeside inn in buck creek marina. we pretty much hung out in the honey creek/party cove the whole time we were there. had 8 boats down there for 5 days. weather was great but HOT HOT HOT. just made the beer and rum drinks taste that much better.

by the way...watch the mouth of buck creek if you go in there. they have some hazard buoys marking the left point as you enter that cove and it's pretty shallow so give them plenty of space entering/leaving or you'll drag your lower unit in the sand.

As long as we have each other. We'll never run out of problems.
